The Eleven Parameters
Every B-index score is decomposed from exactly eleven measurable parameters — six capture vectors, three escape capacities, and two structural multipliers. Each is scored 0–10 against the published five-anchor rubric (anchors at 0, 3, 5, 7 and 10; Appendix A of the paper). Corrected 31 October 2026: until this date the rubric shown here was a three-band summary (1–3 / 4–6 / 7–10) whose wording was not the published rubric; the anchors shown now are generated from Appendix A verbatim.

Capture uses CES4(d, m, a, p) with synergy boost, scaled by closeness, network, org-depth, and momentum. Escape uses CES3(x, s, h) with feedback attenuation.

Forces that pull users deeper into the platform. Higher capture scores increase the B-index numerator.
Escape
3 parameters
Factors enabling departure. Higher escape scores increase the B-index denominator, lowering B.
Extended Multipliers
2 parameters
Structural amplifiers operating outside the core CES functions. They multiply capture pressure.
